The Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Work launches the implementation of community initiatives for graduates of the Institutional Excellence Scholarship
This stage comes as a continuation of an integrated process that began with opening the door for applications to 86 civil society organizations from the graduates of the first batch of 2024 and the second batch of 2025 of the Institutional Excellence Grant, where 43 organizations submitted proposals for community initiatives, which were subject to review and evaluation according to a clear methodology and standards, leading to the selection of five initiatives to begin implementation.
The initiatives that were launched reflect an important diversity in the areas of civil work, and a direct connection to the needs of society, and include:
Educational Foundation for Early Intervention and Capacity Building
Initiative: “Improving the quality of visual rehabilitation services for the blind and visually impaired” — Greater Cairo.
Big Heart Association
Initiative: “Initiators in Education - Specialized Volunteering” - Greater Cairo.
Kayan Association for People with Disabilities
Initiative: “Safe and inclusive environment” — Tahta Center in Sohag Governorate.
Little Fingers Foundation
Initiative: “Technology Seeds” — Alexandria Governorate.
Friendly Foundation for Cultural and Social Services
Initiative: “Smart Life Skills Academy” — 6th of October City.
These initiatives represent the applied phase of the Institutional Excellence Grant; It does not stop at the boundaries of training or internal development of organizations, but rather seeks to test the capabilities and institutional practices that these organizations have acquired in reality, through designing and implementing innovative development interventions capable of responding to community needs, building partnerships, mobilizing resources, and providing models that are sustainable and expandable.
These initiatives come within the framework of the societal vision for developing and advancing the Egyptian NGO sector, which was launched by the Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Work, in the belief that the future of civil work is linked to its ability to move from capacity building to making an impact.
