Conclusion of the training program “Institutional Sustainability for NGOs” within the third session of the Institutional Commitment Certificate
Within the framework of implementing the second phase of the third cycle of the Institutional Commitment Certificate for Egyptian and Arab NGOs, the Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Work, represented by the NGO Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit, concluded the specialized training program “Institutional Sustainability for NGOs,” which comes within the stages of qualifying the participating organizations to obtain the Institutional Commitment Certificate.
The program covered five integrated training levels that represent the basic pillars of building institutional sustainability within civil society organizations, which are:
First level: Introduction to the institutional sustainability of NGOs.
The second level: Corporate governance and its applications in accordance with international practices and standards.
Third level: Risk and crisis management and business continuity.
Fourth level: Monitoring, evaluation, impact measurement, and social marketing.
Fifth level: International management systems models and their applications in NGOs.
The implementation of this program comes as a continuation of the Institutional Commitment Certification methodology, which combines review and capacity building, which contributes to enabling organizations to develop their institutional performance, respond to the first review observations, and enhance their readiness to fulfill the requirements of the certificate in accordance with international best practices in the areas of governance, quality, and institutional sustainability.
It is worth noting that the third session of the Institutional Commitment Certificate witnessed the selection of (20) Egyptian and Arab NGOs to participate, with (15) Egyptian organizations and (5) Yemeni organizations, after... Passing the first application, screening and review stages, and the training program is one of the main stages in the journey of qualifying these organizations before completing the final review work and making the decision to grant the certificate.
