Introduction to sustainable community development
Training Description
The development of local communities is considered the essence of civil society work and its first pillar, as the main role of civil society organizations can be identified in working to meet development gaps within local communities and establishing sustainable livelihoods for the most needy groups. This training course was designed to prepare local community leaders and workers in local NGOs to clarify their roles within the community, work methods, and development tools. The course also addresses the system of ethics and values that surround leaders within the community and enhance its developmental role.

3 training days
Target Group
Pioneers of sustainable civil society work, members of boards of directors, middle management, project managers, development program officials, and executive management of civil society organizations.
Training Start
It starts on August 1 and ends on August 3, 2023
Training Goals
Main Goals:
Raising the skills and capabilities of workers in the field of local community development and empowering them with effective methods for developing local communities.
Secondary Goals:
By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:
• Formulating the concept of society, its types, elements, components and resources
• Identify the reasons for the emergence of problems, how to identify them, and their relationship to resources.
• Explaining the concept of development, its characteristics, importance, goals, and relationship to community resources
• Determine the importance of community participation and mechanisms for activating it in the local community.
• Identify the development practitioner’s tools and roles in developing communities.
• Preparing a plan for local community development.
• Using the best methods to get to know the local community.
• Identify the professional ethics of the development practitioner.

To obtain a certificate of passing the training course, you must adhere to the following:
1. Attending all training days at a rate of no less than 75%.
2. Interaction during training with the trainer and participants
3. Implementing the practical applications required daily
4. Submitting the graduation project on the specified date
