The Sustainable Development and Climate Action Support Unit is one of the specialized technical units of the “Arab Center for Sustainable Civil Action.” The unit aims to motivate “development practitioners” within Arab local communities, regardless of the nature of the organizations to which they belong, to support the sustainability of local communities and their resilience to climate change. This is done through the unit's various activities that work to provide knowledge, tools, methods and applications that support their approach towards sustainable development and climate action.

This will include employees of Arab civil society organizations, members of volunteer movements, or employees of governmental and international bodies concerned with development in the Arab region.

The unit's work mechanism and strategy are based on several activities, including launching regional training programs accredited by reliable authorities that are designed in accordance with the standards and requirements of designing international training programs.

The unit also aims to work on developing volunteer movements in the Arab region and supporting the trend towards green volunteering.
