Unit Description
The “Observatory for the Sustainability of Civil Action” is one of the most important units of the “Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Action.” The observatory aims to provide and disseminate information about the reality of civil society organizations, measure the extent of their contributions to sustainable development and climate action, and provide them to decision makers within society.
The Observatory also seeks to build databases and issue policy papers on various issues and research reports. The Observatory also aims to open a societal dialogue between parties related to the development of civil society organizations at the Arab level on ways to increase the contributions of civil society organizations to sustainable development and climate action.
The General Framework of the Unit Includes the Following
Objectives
- Providing an information system for civil society work at the level of the Arab world.
- Promoting sustainability in organizations working in the field of civil and volunteer work.
- Providing the necessary information and support to civil society organizations to achieve their goals and vision in an effective and sustainable manner.
- Monitoring and disseminating the best sustainable development practices to replicate them in a more innovative manner.
- Providing opportunities for communication and obtaining information between civil society organizations inside and outside Egypt.
- Highlighting the most important development issues in Egypt and the Arab world, analyzing them and finding solutions for them.
- Building specialized databases to support civil society organizations across the Arab world.
