The Local Community Development Association in Qassin Al-Azhar is a civil society association registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity under No. 308 of 1973. It includes a group of volunteer cadres and workers in its various agencies of both sexes, representing all segments of society. It presents many projects to serve the local community, which are as follows: (The most prominent projects implemented by the association are mentioned. The last three years)
1. Purchasing a land of five and a half acres to establish a sewage treatment plant in Qassin Al-Azhar
2. Purchasing 26 carats to establish decent living projects in the village of Qassin Al-Azhar
3. Obtaining a loan from the Enterprise Development Agency to finance micro-enterprises at an interest rate of 16%
4. Holding exhibitions of used furniture for free distribution to the most needy families, with 12 exhibitions over 3 years
5. Planting the sides of canals and drains with fruit trees in the village of Qassin Al-Azhar
The association presented these projects in light of societal needs to aim to provide a decent life for the community’s residents and in line with the state’s development plan and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
