Sheikh Zakaria Al-Ansari Association in Al-Helmeya is a private association registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity under No. 207 of 1969. It includes a group of volunteer cadres and workers in its various agencies of both sexes, representing all segments of society. It presents many projects to serve the local community, which are: As follows
1- Establishing and supporting 60 income generating projects including (grocery - vegetables and fruits - shoe repair and shoe trading - carpentry - tailoring - clothing - shaving)
2- Providing one number of kindergartens equipped with equipment, furniture, and trained teachers in order to provide the service to the children of the most needy families, with a symbolic subscription to support the pre-primary education stage
3- Establishing an office for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, providing it with the necessary equipment and furniture, and supplying it with teachers and memorizers accredited by the scholars of Al-Azhar and the Endowments to instill noble values and a correct understanding of the true religion
4- Implementing a project to improve the level of housing and the environment, commissioned, financed and followed up by the Misr El Kheir Foundation, by rebuilding and finishing 7 houses among the houses of those affected by floods in Sharkia Governorate
5- Providing the necessary assistance during the period of the spread of the Corona Covid 2019 epidemic by providing oxygen cylinders and the necessary treatment, following up on cases, providing public places and government headquarters with tools to assist with precautionary measures and disinfectants, and forming a team of trained and qualified volunteers for sterilization, as well as raising the level of awareness among members of society
6- Holding many educational and introductory seminars and courses to spread environmental and behavioral awareness among members of society, instilling the values of citizenship, giving priority to the interest of the nation, and paying attention to women and children’s rights
The association presented these projects in light of societal needs to aim to provide a decent life for the community’s residents and in line with the state’s development plan and Egypt’s Vision 2030
