Bio:
Maryam is a pharmacist and public health specialist specializing in nutrition and a researcher with a master’s degree in public health. Graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, class of 2012.
I worked as a technical office manager for the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Alexandria for two years and as a health education doctor for 4 years in the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, and now I am responsible for presidential initiatives. Basic management skills are important to be an ideal leader or manager in my life, so Maryam studied a diploma in “Hospital Management” from Sadat Academy for Administrative Sciences in Alexandria. Maryam was in charge of the medical service at Senghor University in Alexandria for a year, where I was grateful to work for the development of the African continent. After that I had the opportunity to work in the African Outreach Program (Gynecology and Breast Cancer) with the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Alexandria Regional Center for Women’s Health and Development as a medical translator. In order to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, Maryam was the advocate as well as the committee member at the Global Intergenerational Peace Dialogue in Alexandria, Egypt. Maryam was an entrepreneur from Egypt at the 8th AASU Student Conference and a member of the Constitutional Review Committee of the African Students Union
Maryam prepared and presented many training courses on many topics related to health, disease prevention, children’s behaviors and skills (leadership, communication skills, teamwork) at the Ministry of Health and many government agencies.
She also worked as a certified trainer in many associations and civil and community institutions, such as the Cairo Foundation for Development and Law, Al-Farah Foundation for Development, and Caritas, where she delivered training on reproductive health, female circumcision, women’s health rights, safe medical care for women, initial measures for dealing with survivors of violence in medical centers, leadership, and communication skills
I also worked as a lecturer in pharmacology at the Health Technical Institute in Alexandria.
I attended many courses, training, and workshops in many fields, including leadership, management, strategic planning, infection control, various work skills, public relations, and entrepreneurship.
Maryam was also an international speaker at youth conferences in Ghana and Morocco, as well as at many teleconferences.”
