Monday 3/27/2023 Within the framework of the vision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and its endeavor to develop the alternative care system in Egypt and provide a safe environment and a decent life for children deprived of family care, the final meeting was held at the headquarters of the National Association for the Development of Orphanages and the final meeting of the project to raise the efficiency of 5 civil society organizations in the Cairo and Giza governorates responsible for caring for children without parental care, which was implemented through a partnership between the civil society development sector of the Misr Al-Khair Foundation and the National Association. During the project implementation period, which took about 12 months, a set of interventions were implemented, including: • Financial and administrative institutional development of targeted associations and institutions through institutional support visits, workshops and capacity building training. • Implementing the rules governing the professional code of conduct for civil society organizations, where a standard tool was designed to evaluate the performance of orphanages. • Technical support for targeted associations and institutions to implement quality standards in care homes, which included a set of workshops and specialized training.
