Egypt is good launches the report "Social Social Economic Description (for Beni Suef Governorate)"
In the context of implementing the activities of the project "Enhancing the roles of non-governmental organizations in sustainable development and climate work (sustainable empowerment)", funded by the European Union and in the Beni Suef Foundation.
The first community dialogue conference was held to review the results of the report of "The Social Social Economic Environmental Description of Beni Suef Governorate", which was conducted within the project and with the participation of all stakeholders and parties concerned with development within Beni Suef Governorate.
This dialogue targeted discussing the recommendations of the report and ways to enhance cooperation between development partners at the local level to implement these recommendations in the service of sustainable development issues and climate work in light of Egypt's Vision 2030.
The report included analyzing the current situation in Beni Suef Governorate (resources, opportunities and needs) and the contributions of the various parties in the development process, as well as a review of the most prominent challenges facing sustainable development in various sectors of the province.
The report reached a number of recommendations that covered the Beni Suef Governorate in all sectors, as it focused on promoting sustainable development, improving ways to confront climate changes, and enhancing cooperation between the relevant authorities to achieve development goals. The recommendations also included proposals to support the local administration and civil society, and to provide innovative solutions to environmental, economic and social challenges, in a way that contributes to achieving Egypt's Vision 2030.
Participated in the conference as a group of executive leaders and representatives of the major civil organizations, the Egypt Foundation and the partner societies.
It is worth noting that the project is implemented in the number of four governorates, and aims to build community work mechanisms, especially local administration and civil society, to counter the effects of climate changes and expedite the settlement of sustainable development goals.
