Yasser Badri Saturday 19-20-2022 Dr. Nevin Al -Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, participated in the launch ceremony of the Egyptian laboratory to measure the impact to enhance evidence -based policies and improve the results of development in Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Dalal, President of the American University in Cairo, and Dr. Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister of Planning and Development Economic, The Minister of Social Solidarity emphasized that universities are playing an important role in achieving the sustainable development goals, and they have become a partner in the development process, so we went to universities in order to involve young people in national projects, noting that the Ministry of Social Solidarity has established social solidarity units in 29 universities, through which the Ministry's services and Nasser Social Bank within universities are provided. Al -Kabbaj added that we appreciate the research and believe in the importance of assessing the impact, especially since the achievement of social justice and the first persons to take care of their rights will not be achieved without evidence and evaluation of various policies and programs. She added that monitoring and evaluation is closely related to the administration based on evidence, and therefore the Ministry of Social Solidarity integrates the evidence in making policies during the various stages starting from setting plans to implementing programs and initiatives, and that the digital transformation that the Egyptian state plays an important role in enhancing the ability to collect, analyze and classify the necessary data for impact, stressing that the President of the Republic appreciates the studies based on evidence. The Minister of Social Solidarity expressed her happiness in partnership in launching the Egyptian laboratory to measure the impact, explaining that the Ministry of Social Solidarity plays a pivotal role in building human capital, as it expands the scope of social protection for the initial categories of care based on the principles of transparency, providing care services and empowering persons with disabilities, which is part of the human rights strategy, stressing the importance of data availability because it contributes to directing policies so that everyone can obtain On his rights, and this is what was done in the "Takaful and Dignity" monetary support program, which covers approximately 4 million families, and an independent evaluation of the impact of the Takaful and Dignity Program was conducted in 2017, and this evaluation showed the positive impact of the program on consumption and poverty, which supports the fruits of human capital since 2015. She added that the Ministry of Social Solidarity is implementing an opportunity for economic empowerment, and aims to prepare the initial categories of care for the labor market, in order to move from protection to production, noting that the ministry adopts a method that faces poverty from a multi -dimensional perspective and plays a vital role in presidential initiatives "the national program for the development of the Egyptian family" and "a decent life" by developing nurseries and promoting equal educational opportunities Social awareness and the reproductive health program "2 Kafaya", praising the role played by the Egyptian laboratory to measure the impact to enhance the policies based on evidence, improve the results of development in Egypt and determine effective development interventions.
