Thursday 3-24-2022 There is no doubt that the issue of climate changes has occupied the interest of many countries, because of its very great impact in many fields, and for this the Egyptian state has implemented during the past period many projects to confront the phenomenon of climate change and achieve green recovery, which came within the state's investment plan in the areas of transportation and clean transportation that includes: 1- The Ministry of Transport projects for expansion in subway lines 2- - The Rapid Electrical Train Project, Ain Al -Sukhna - the new administrative capital - the new Al -Alamein, and the skirts of the administrative capital - and the city of October 6) 3- New and renewable energy projects and energy efficiency (setting up wind power stations in the Gulf of Suez and power plants in Photovoli cells, such as Benban, Al-Saffrana and Hurghada projects) 4- Northern Coast Protection Projects 5- Rain and torrential confrontations projects 6- A project for rehabilitation and cultivation of 1.5 million acres to achieve food security and compensate for the mobilization and erosion of lands in the Delta 7- Sustainable management projects for water resources to improve the efficiency of the use of water resources (the establishment of seawater desalination plants, sewage networks, triple treatment, and rehabilitation and regeneration of the national network of canals and water channels. And on the state's efforts to enhance the shift towards the green economy and provide financing to achieve the goals of sustainable development, and the preparation of the first national report on the financing of sustainable development in Egypt, and the launch of green bonds of 750 million dollars, for the first time in Africa and the Middle East, with reference to what the private sector will make from the launch of green bonds worth 120-200 million dollars, along with the efforts of the "Egypt Fund". Sovereignty for investment and development "in the field of climate change through investing in a number of green projects such as the project of hydrogen production and green ammonia in partnership with a number of specialized international companies, the project to produce train cars to support sustainable transport efforts, as well as desalination projects. And on the national efforts to confront the phenomenon of climate change, the Arab Republic of Egypt is honored to host the summit of the Parties Conference of the United Nations Climate Change Convention COP 27 of 2022 in the city of Sharm El Sheikh, and this conference comes as a reflection of the central role that Egypt plays regionally and internationally, so the state operates with all its institutions and directly from the President of the Republic to make this global event successful, and belief from the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development The importance of engaging young people and exploiting their energy to confront the phenomenon of climate change, adapting to its effects and reducing carbon emissions.
