The Minister of Environment reviews the latest developments in the Misr road map for the COP27 Climate Conference

Yasser Badry Friday 1-4-2022 Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, headed the closing session of the workshop of the United Nations Secretariat Mission, the joint operating team of the COP27 Climate Conference in Egypt, as part of Egypt's preparation for hosting the COP27 climate conference, which was held by the Ministry of Environment during the period from 29: 31 March, to discuss the road map of the climate, in the presence of Dr. Ali Abu Sunna, head of the Environmental Affairs Agency and Ambassador Ashraf Ibrahim, General Coordinator The logistical side of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Raouf Saad, Advisor to the Minister of Environment for the multilateral environmental agreements, Ambassador Ayman Tharwat, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of a number of ministries, including civil aviation, tourism, antiquities, health, population, communications, information technology, solidarity, the National Media Authority and a number of concerned authorities. The Minister listened to the points of agreement that resulted in the workshop and the challenges that faced the participants, stressing the importance of reaching a clear vision of the road map of the conference and resolving interference between work groups. Dr. Yasmine Fouad emphasized Egypt's keenness and political leadership to leave the conference in the best way to be an icon that the world talks about in organization, implementation and all events, which is what Egypt is working on during the current period in cooperation with all the competent authorities. The Minister of Environment reviewed the road map for preparation to host Egypt, the COP27 climate conference, which included all the roles, work teams and specialists, in addition to the logistical organizations to ensure the availability of a distinct experience for all Egyptian guests during the conference. The Minister of Environment pointed out the importance of the continuation of the discussion on all the arrangements and common preparations to reach the best results on the ground and benefit from previous experiences of climate conferences, to avoid any negatives that may appear before or during the conference and turn them into positive and common interests for all parties and in favor of environmental work globally, stressing that the results of the mission will be presented to the Supreme Committee headed by the Prime Minister and concerned with preparing for the climate conference. The United Nations team praised the Egyptian road map, as it included all technical and logistical axes, wishing Egypt to organize the COP27 climate conference.
