Sunday 29-20-2022 In light of the 2022 declaration of the year of civil society and in support of the role of civil organizations in achieving sustainable development, a policy paper No. (3) of a series of policy papers on (the role of civil organizations in achieving sustainable development goals 2030) was issued. Under the title of the role of civil organizations in achieving the "first goal" of the sustainable development goals 2030, "to eliminate poverty". The paper came as a result of a "round table" discussion for civil work experts and civil society, representatives of civil organizations, the governmental and private sector, and international organizations, which are the parties concerned with the first goal of the sustainable development goals, "eliminating poverty" participated in the meeting, 55 experts and representatives of international and government agencies, civil society and the media. The discussion took place between the participants on three axes: - ✳️ The first axis: the current situation of the system of social protection policies (achievements / challenges) in light of Egypt's strategic vision for sustainable development 2030 ✳️ The second axis: the current reality of the civil organizations in strengthening safety networks for the most needy groups to achieve the first goal (reality and hope). ✳️ The third axis: the future of the partnership between the private sector and both the government sector and the private sector to achieve the first goal concerned with eliminating poverty. The paper includes a proposed societal vision and recommendations for the parties and parties concerned with activating the role of civil organizations in achieving the first goal.
