Monday 25-2022 The "Misr Al -Khair" Foundation, in the presence of representatives of the Ministries of Social Solidarity and the Environment, launched, on Sunday, a proposed standard system for the accreditation of green civil organizations, which will be - according to it - will be evaluated the extent of the implementation of civil organizations for environmental requirements and sustainability requirements in all their exercises, and then adopting them as a green civil organization, within the framework of the regional campaign as a sustainable climate launched by the Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry Environment and Solidarity, and under the auspices of the Presidential Initiative, prepare for the Arabs, the Arab Network for Private Organizations, the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, the National Planning Institute and the United Nations Development Program, in preparation for the United Nations Conference on the United Nations Climate, which will be held at the end of the year in Sharm El -Sheikh. During the meeting, the proposal submitted by Egypt was discussed for this system in the presence of 55 participants from environmental experts and civil organizations and quality, Dr. Salah Hashem, Advisor to the Minister of Social Solidarity for Social Policies, Islam Abdel Majid, Director of the Associations Department at the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Talaat Abdel Qawi, President of the General Union of Societies and Private Institutions, Dr. Samir Tantawi, official of the national report on changes Al Manakia, and A. Mohamed Mamdouh, Head of the Program of Development of NGOs at the Misr Al -Khair Foundation. The meeting ended with a set of proposals to develop the proposed standard system for the adoption of civil societies as sustainable green organizations. The meeting was moderated by Dr. Hussein Abaza, the international advisor for sustainable development and green economy. In his speech, Dr. Talaat Abdel -Qawi pointed out the interest of the great Egypt Foundation in the issue of climate change, as they are special prizes for sustainable development issues, and a sustainable and permanent climate campaign launched in this regard with the participation of a large number of NGOs, to encourage associations to be green and environmentally friendly, as well as preparing for the United Nations Climate Conference COP27. Abdel -Qawi said that there is a great interest in climate issues in the national dialogue, in which he is participating in an open dialogue, during which the climate and environmental issues will be talked, and the expatriate outputs will be used today by the Misr Al -Khair Foundation in cooperation with the Ministries of Social Solidarity and the Environment, in the national dialogue that will come out with recommendations and draft laws, in preparation for submitting to the President of the Republic. In his speech, Dr. Salah Ahmed Hashem, Advisor to the Minister of Solidarity for Social Policies, affirmed that Egypt is always used to us that civil societies are not only their role to provide humanitarian aid but also contribute to all issues of concern to society, dealing and interacting with the various state issues and the Ministry of Solidarity is a basic incision and civil societies is a key partner in these issues. Hashem explained that the higher the rates of poverty, the more deteriorating the environment, and the issue of poverty and the consequent environmental issues from the most important axes because we want a sustainable environmental climate.
